Catching Kings of Leon for their Monday night show at MGM Fenway on September 16th may not have been enough for many fans, but don’t worry — they’ll be back on Monday, October 7th. Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store.
In full tour mode, Kings of Leon kicked off the night with “Ballerina Radio,” igniting the crowd and setting the tone for a night full of sing-alongs. The band wasted no time, mixing tracks from their new album *Please Can We Have Fun* with their greatest hits. By the fourth song, “On Call,” the entire venue was in full sing-along mode, which continued through “Manhattan” and “Nowhere to Run,” as the energy in the crowd surged.
The band’s visual setup added even more intensity to the show, with striking video imagery filmed by the men in white film crew. It was particularly electrifying during “Sex on Fire” (hot as a fever!), where bold, cinematic visuals lit up the stage. Clearly a favorite, “Revelry” brought a wave of emotion over the crowd, as fans swayed to the rhythm, while the band fed off the energy pulsing through all three levels of the venue. “Beautiful War” followed with an anthemic vibe, stirring the crowd into a powerful sing-along during the chorus, chanting “love don’t mean nothing, if it’s not worth fighting for".
Boston got a special treat when the band dedicated a song to the city, surprising the audience with “I Want You.” The audience roared their approval, as this was the first live performance of the song since 2014. With a few more shows left on their tour — likely to be sold-out due to their electrifying performances — Kings of Leon proved once again that they are a must-see act.
Don’t miss your chance to catch them when they return!
